Langwell Water flows down to the North Sea from a range of modest mountains in western Caithness. Distinctive, conical Morven at 2300ft, often compared to an Icelandic volcano, dominates this range and the surrounding low-lying moorland terrain. This shot was taken one cold, calm December afternoon. Viewpoint feature in Outdoor Photography Magazine Dec 2025.
